The club was established in the year of 2009, aiming to gather talented youths in Vancouver from all ethnicities and backgrounds to give back to our society especially to young people. We currently have accepted 50 members out of nearly 600 applications into our club. Our members have all obtained outstanding achievements in one or more fields including singing, playing instruments, dancing, performing, film production, music production, photography, etc. We aim to provide resources and opportunities for youth to expand and strengthen their interests.
This year is the official 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Canada and China (being "friendship countries"), so to celebrate the anniversary, the Sunshine Club, an international youth talent group is producing an original CD album in both English and Mandarin. We are planning to publish this album in China this November-December. This Project also includes photo shoots, music videos, dancing and acting training, album recording, media interviews and possibly a sponsored tour all over China this year to promote our album. It's a great opportunity for young people eager experience and to promote themselves both in North America and in China. It will be the first pop group formed by both Chinese and North Americans and will receive much publicity in both regions. The goal of this project is to celebrate the 40th anniversary between China and Canada's diplomacy. The Sunshine Club, which represents the youth in Vancouver, is producing the Love In Vancouver album to express our appreciation for this relationship between Canada and China, in addition to showcasing the passion of music from talented youth in Vancouver. The songs in the album communicate attitudes of youth in Vancouver toward love, life, international relations, and care for mankind; genre of the songs include Pop, R&B, Hip-hop, House, and Rock.
