Beneath the starry sky so bright,I stand alone
A figure of joy, yet inside, a heart of stone
The laughter and cheer I spread each Christmas night
Conceal the tears that fall in the pale moonlight
Oh, merry face, with eyes so kind
Hides a soul where sorrows wind
Santa’s heart, a heavy load
In silent nights, my tears unfold
In the solitude of the North Pole’s icy realm
I read the letters, my heart overwhelmed
Children’s dreams I hold so dear
But my own wishes, year after year, disappear
The world sees the jolly man, with gifts and cheer
But not the silent cries, nor the hidden fears
For every “Ho, ho, ho” that fills the air
There’s a whisper of longing, a silent despair
Oh, merry face, with eyes so kind
Hides a soul where sorrows wind
Santa’s heart, a heavy load
In silent nights, my tears unfold
Yet I carry on, through the cold and snow
For the joy of others, my heart shall glow
In their laughter, I find my light
A lonely soul, on this Christmas night
