“I think he’s taken a bit of a shine to you.”（我想他有点喜欢你。）
在 1983 年电影《俘虏》（Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence》中，英国军官向同样软禁于俘虏营的同袍少校杰克悄声说了这句话，意指看守他们的日军上尉世野井似乎对于立场敌对的杰克暗生情愫。
饰演世野井上尉的，是时年刚过 30 岁的坂本龙一。剧中的他军装笔挺、不苟言笑，唯有面对大卫鲍伊饰演的杰克时才乱了方寸。然而在军纪严明的日本军队中，一切个人私欲都必须为了国家和武士道精神牺牲。偶尔举手投足的失措，已经是最大程度的情感宣泄。
年初坂本龙一过世后，回声乐团想起以往他们演唱会前后，总会播放几首坂本教授的名曲；也想起他在最后的演奏会上圆满至善的琴音；当然还有《俘虏》时期，坂本龙一才华出众，年轻而不可一世的神情。那些记忆中的声音与画面，在一夜的摸索后长出了新歌〈Take a Shine〉。除了开头的和弦取自电影同名曲〈Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence〉，更邀请受坂本龙一影响至深的“金奖配乐大师”侯志坚担纲制作编曲。怀旧和伤感的氛围背后，藏著他们对于坂本龙一发自内心的想念和感谢。歌词既是诠释世野井上尉始终未能说出口的心境，又像遥寄一代音乐传奇的温柔情书。
