Hey, the Jasmine Flower is a traditional Chinese Folk Song melody for which I’ve come up with ideas to develop the song into a jazz arrangement. The original song has just three chords: C, F , and G. I rearranged the original chord changes to give the harmony a jazz-like sound .The intro is a piano vamp for 8 bars, leading into an A A B A song form. The original melody has been altered slightly to give it added interest. The guitar plays the first melody chorus with the piano providing comping support. The piano plays the second melody chorus with some melodic variation throughout the form, while the tenor sax simultaneously adds the background support.
