歌词以冷嘲热讽的语气，揭露一场场早就安排好的比赛和音乐祭名单。
看起来公平，却处处内定的奖项与演出机会。
从“你爸是谁”的权力密码，
到“朗读比赛却颁给跳舞最好的人”，
《RULEs》针对的不是输赢，
而是——这场比赛从来没打算让你赢。
音乐上融合后庞克（post-punk）与工业摇滚（industrial rock），
节奏简洁但带著压力，贝斯主导气氛，
吉他则以切割噪音与 feedback，构筑一种“冷静的怒吼”。
这不是一首要取悦谁的歌，
这是一段社会现实的录音档。
