"Into the Sun" is a song about the conflicting balance between positive and negative outlooks. The lyrics show a musician facing setbacks but holding onto hope for a better tomorrow. This cycle keeps repeating until you realize that's all there is: a cycle of problems coupled with the hope for a future without such problems. And in that moment, panic sets in, because that means accepting this cycle is how one maintains a positive outlook. But that, in and of itself, becomes a kind of negative outlook. Then "into the sun" takes on this double-meaning: Are we moving on into a better future? Or are we burning out on the surface of the sun? And that's for you to decide.
