本歌词灵感来自于朋友的爱情故事。 在朋友历经爱情上的挫折、复合又分手的过程，我从中得到创作的灵感。 整首歌内容大致陈述当情侣的其中一方提出分手，而对方无法接受，执著于放不下的感情，奋力恳求复合。
起初，提出分手的女孩无法看清两人在相处时已非平等。 男孩已将女孩对他的好视为理所当然、不知感恩，更得寸进尺，而女孩却始终容忍著对方荒唐的途径。 在经历一些事情之后，女孩终于看清也已释怀，发现自己过去是如此盲目，进而提出分手。
男孩在失去后才力求复合，女孩的心却已不复在。女孩终于决心结束这段感情，开始寻找真正属于自己的幸福。
