07 Ephesians

Ephesians
以弗所书

Put on the whole armor of God, stand and fight,
That ye may stand against the devil’s might.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood in sight,
But powers and darkness that rule the night.
Against the rulers of the world’s dark height,
Spiritual wickedness in heavenly flight.
Therefore take the armor, forged in light,
To stand in the evil day, hold tight.

Stand and fight — clothed in might,
Armor shining, burning bright.
Heaven’s steel, forged in right,
March with angels into the fight.

Stand, having loins girt with truth so bright,
And breastplate of righteousness, your right.
Feet shod with gospel, peace in spite,
Of chaos roaring with endless blight.
Above all, take the shield held tight,
To quench all darts in the Spirit’s might.
Take helmet of salvation, pure and white,
And sword of the Spirit, cutting with light.

Break the night — armored in light,
Truth in hand, and steps so right.
Fear no world, with sin in sight,
Stand in Christ, till ends the fight.

This is the Lord’s — not by might,
Pray in Spirit, day and night.
Watch and guard, with no fright,
Till His glory comes in light.
