The Epistle of James - Song of Solomon
雅歌书 - 所罗门之歌
Your love is better than wine, pure delight,
Your fragrance pours forth in the darkest night.
Draw me after you, let’s take flight,
The king has brought me into his light.
I am dark, yet lovely in sight,
Like tents of Kedar, bold in their might.
Don’t stare at me ‘cause of the sunlight,
It scorched my skin while I watched the fight.
My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh all night,
Lying between my breasts, close and tight.
He feeds among lilies ‘til morning light,
He is my joy, my warrior knight.
Tell me, you whom my soul holds tight,
Where you rest your flock in twilight.
Why should I wander lost from the right,
Among the flocks of your friends in spite?
Your cheeks are lovely with jewels so bright,
Your neck with chains, a perfect sight.
We’ll make you gold with silver so white,
Adorned in glory, crowned in height.
You are altogether beautiful, no blight,
Your eyes are doves, full of insight.
Your lips drip honey, love’s invite,
Your mouth is sweet, your voice is right.
Set me as a seal on your heart's site,
For love is strong as death’s own bite.
Its flames are fire, a fierce rite,
A mighty blaze, no soul can fight.
My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh all night,
Lying between my breasts, close and tight.
He feeds among lilies ‘til morning light,
He is my joy, my warrior knight.
You are altogether beautiful, no blight,
Your eyes are doves, full of insight.
Your lips drip honey, love’s invite,
Your mouth is sweet, your voice is right.
