Named after a studio session with fellow artist Alec Meza in Memphis, Tennessee, 'Memphis Grit' ties into the overarching narrative of journeying found across Creature's forthcoming EP. With a gritty main melody carried by parallel synth movements, the drumming is front and centre, shifting the time around and retaining a sense of urgency whilst forcing an insatiable urge to head bop.
"Memphis Grit was created after my audience on Instagram requested a full version of a popular reel from my page. I decided to re-arrange the track and bring together musicians from my community, including Dan Collins, as capturing the essence of my friends is a big part of my sound."
