The Four Seasons 前身成立于1955年，团名和团员都几经更换，到了1961年才正式定名为The Four Seasons，团员有四位而以主唱Frankie Valli为主，加上由制作人Bob Crewe、编曲Charlie Calello(曾一度加入成为团员)、团员之一的键盘手兼作曲主力Bob Gaudio形成的幕后创作﹨制作铁三角终使The Four Seasons成为60年代顶尖的美国团体。70年代之后团员不时变动或出版个人专辑，于是四季合唱团只能偶有佳作，80年代初便消失于主流市场。有许多乐迷认为以假音演唱出名始于比吉斯合唱团，其实应以Frankie Valli领导的The Four Seasons最早且最富盛名。(资料来源：华纳线上音乐杂志) ；这首《Can't Take My Eyes Off You》原唱是美国60年代白人灵魂乐团: 四季合唱团 The Four Seasons成员之一的Frankie Valli所演唱，收录于其1967年所发行的《 Can't Take My Eyes Off You》专辑。这首经典老歌至今已被许多知名歌手翻唱过，包含Andy Willams、Diana Ross、Muse、Sheena Easton、Isaac Hayes...等各国歌手，传唱度之高由此可见。
